Hopefully they will relate to the main storyline in the future, and I can already see some emerging possibilities that I’d love to see play out. Of most important note are the 6 tomes, each with their own storyline significance. Thankfully, this release bucks the trend and delivers a well-written, fascinating storyline in multiple areas. Engrossing, interesting storyline elementsĪE did a nice job setting up the Necryptos storyline, but hasn’t exactly followed through with the following releases. The NG weapon is a head with a very interesting use: It has 0 cooldown, with its only special increasing its damage each hit fairly significantly. The credit weapon is a non-SC FA that can do that powerful life tap special and bonus damage against vampires. Anyways, upon beating the quest you will unlock two more shops (one for credits, one NGs) at the Traders Caravan. I’ve also failed to find a setup that can come even remotely close to winning on Xtreme mode, so if you’ve found a strategy please alert me. All in all, it’s an incredibly difficult fight and one made almost 100% impossible without a vampire mecha. Sporting a hefty 100 immobility resistance, Nephyrisis’ specials include a 60% damage and 40% accuracy buff against non-vampire mecha on almost every attack, multiple Life Taps (DoT and heal over time all at once), double damage DoT, increased critical chance on some attacks, and even a heal slipped in there. Then comes the fight, and it is quite a challenge. She claims that our attempts to kill the entire family of vampires are futile, and if we succeed we will doom Necyrptos to an “unmentionable fate”, one she is sensing already awakening. After completing the puzzle you will come face to face with Nephyrisis, the sister of Demetri and subject of your travels through the temple. You must simply order the symbols of the tomes in order of how they show up by the arrows when you’re looking through the tomes. Once you find all 6 tomes, you must then make your way to the main door, which houses a small puzzle. It’s all very interesting and opens up some very intriguing storyline possibilities (Miracyrina = Mina?), so I’d suggest you play the release and read all the information for yourself. The tomes each have their own symbol and a paragraph of text detailing ancient Necryptos lore, specifically some ancient vampiric family consisting of a father, wife, two daughters and two sons. After beating the Sphynx (which can do some major damage against non-vampire mecha, the infamous Life Taps, 1.5x energy DoT, and -50% defense nerf), you will gain entry into the temple, which is a relatively massive crypt, underground cave zone, complete with teleportation pads which gain access to different parts of the temple, mummy energy blade fights, and sprawled around the temple 6 tomes. It starts with the Temple Entrance, which is actually a giant mecha Sphynx you must defeat before being allowed to enter. The release continues the Sekali Desert mini-zone, as after traversing through the desert to retrieve the staff you may now enter the Temple itself to try and determine who bit Mina. Necryptos received a fairly large update this week, with two new mecha enemies and character enemy, a new crypt zone, new non-SC, SC, and NG weapons, and a healthy storyline update to what has become a very interesting zone. This week’s release brought a host of new content, with Necryptos featuring in the spotlight again, but not without Frostval making its annual appearance for the month.
